A major player in the UK nuclear power generation sector is seeking a Head of Nuclear Safety coordinate all safety case work needed as part of site licence and environmental permit applications in accordance with agreed project programmes. The role will play a key role in interacting with nuclear regulators and other key stakeholders both internally and externally.
We require strong management skills as this role will lead a team of six and will be responsible for developing a strong nuclear safety culture across the organisation. UK nuclear safety case experience is essential. Candidates must possess: Relevant graduate degree in engineering or science Work Experience/ Qualification Proven ability to liaise effectively with regulators Experience of securing licences and consents in the nuclear industry Expert Nuclear Knowledge Extensive understanding of site licensee organisation requirements, nuclear power plant design and safety case production, preferably in the UK Core Competencies: Confident Negotiator Capacity for teamwork Process oriented way of thinking Capacity to work independently |
