My client provides product validation solutions for use in the aerospace, defence, automotive, machinery, electrical and electronics markets. Due to internal re-structure this global leader are looking to recruit an Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator to be based on their site based in Royston, Hertfordshire. As the safety expert your primary role will be to ensure all areas of the site including offices, storage area and production area are fully compliant with h&s legislations. You will be responsible for coordinating planning, organisation and implementation of environmental programmes, and developing and directing the implementation of programs necessary to avoid injuries and losses due to accidents. The HSE Coordinator will also be responsible for providing a facilities management service for the site by co-ordinating external services e.g. cleaning, maintenance, security and managing renovations and relocations and other site projects. Although there is an element of Facilities involved with the role, you should be qualified with a recognised Health and Safety qualification at an advanced level and an Engineering (mechanical or electrical) qualification, ideally to a degree level or higher. Skills - Stakeholder pension - company contributes up to 4% of annual salary, matched to employee contribution. - Child Care Voucher Scheme. - 25 days holiday per year. - Flexible working (core hours). - 38.75 hour week, Monday to Friday. - Within walking distance of Royston mainline rail station. - New purpose-built building and pleasant working environment.
