Job Title: SHEQ Manager
Location: Rye, East Sussex Salary: up to £36000 (+ re-location package) Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm Our client is looking for a SHEQ Manager, who will ensure the company remains compliant with all legislation and management systems requirements. To help to promote and provide a safe place of work to all. The ideal candidate will have a chemical background and someone who has experience in change and continous improvement. Must be qualified to at least NEBOSH construction level and additional training/courses taken. Responsible to the Group SHEQ Manager for the operation of the quality assurance health & safety and environmental management systems. To bring to the attention of the Group SHEQ Manager any issues which are not being resolved by the management team. To promote the company policies contained in the management manuals and ensure the effective operation of the management systems. To continuously review all aspects of the systems and recommend changes to maintain the relevance of procedures and documentation in achieving objectives and complying with the necessary standards. To conduct accident investigations, to share the knowledge with others and to ensure corrective and preventative actions are completed. To review the performance of the management systems at regular intervals. To carry out any necessary training of staff in quality, environmental and other matters. To liaise with authorities, regulatory and other bodies as required to comply with legislation. To carry out audits of the management systems. To participate in audits carried out by external bodies or individuals within the company. To carry out audits of suppliers and contractors to ensure that they have the facilities to provide the company with an acceptable quality of service. To liaise/work with local management to ensure an appreciation/understanding and application of SHEQ requirements in all operational matters.
