Quality Manager

You will be working for a large chain of food manufactures, working at the Hull base, as Quality Manager. You will primarily lead the QA team in the factory  Manageing, motivating and developing the team, through active leadership and empowerment, to achieve the intake of raw materials which meet the required quality standards at all times.
You will ensure all raw materials at intake comply with approved supplier status and raw materials specification. Develop and implement raw material micro, quality and food safety schedules ensuring complete compliance of all food safety and quality systems including HACCP, current legislation, BRC, customer standards and of practice.Ensure all aspects of site systems and practices are audited and improvements continuously made. Liaise effectively with all departments, being pro-active at all times regarding food safety and quality.

Salary of £45,000 plus 10%bonus / pension/ health care

Experience within a food manufacturing Quality Assurance function.
Minimum of intermediate Food Hygiene
Minimum of intermediate HACCP
Strong literacy, numerical and IT skills
Understanding of food legislation and UK legal framework.
Familiar with BRC accreditation schemes and customer COP compliance
Knowledge of Good Hygiene Practises
Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques - ideal
Understanding of baking processes - ideal
