Environmental and Sustainability Manager

Looking for an environmentally degree qualified Environmental and Sustainability manager for one of our prestige construction clients to sit strategically overseeing environmental compliance on all of their projects monitoring and implementing sustainability strategy (carbon reduction commitment, waste and energy management) and where possible increasing sustainability revenue streams into the company. Previous construction industry experience is not essential but a proven track record delivering sustainability strategy in commercial environments is. The successful applicant will hold some form of environmental degree and preferably have experience of BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) to assist the design team where possible. The company have offices all over the UK so location is not an issue however mainland UK is preferred as you will initially be acting in a hands on capacity visiting multiple sites to assess the scope and level of work needed to produce a comprehensive environmental and sustainability programme. In the long term the role will sit strategically at senior management level with line management responsibilities but that could be between 6 and 12 months in the future. The role is offering a salary up to £45,000 with car or allowance and comprehensive benefits package.
