Health and Safety Advisor

Working for a major civil engineering organisation on a high profile contract, this Hertfordshire based multi-site health and safety advisors will focus on ensuring the Health and Safety compliance of the contract based staff, those of the Joint Venture Partners, the supply chain and the members of the public by supplying expert advice and guidance.
 
This operational role will also:
Carry out site inspections and audits Health and Safety to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Safety Management System.
Recommend any actions that are required to reward positive behaviour or remedy any failings identified
Deliver Health and Safety inductions, training and presentations
Actively encourage staff and sub-contractors to behave in a safe manner
Investigate, report and make recommendations on accidents and incidents

Candidates applying should have experience in a health and safety role preferably in the highway maintenance or construction. Some environment experience is desirable.

You should also hold the NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum and have a proven track record in working in a similar role in a full time capacity.  The successful candidate should have sound technical Health and Safety knowledge and be prepared to be flexible with travelling between sites.  A drivers licence is an essential criteria for this role.
