Trans-Pennine Housing is a leading provider of quality, modern and affordable homes in the North of England. They combine the skills and experience in the social housing sector and are comprised of two not-for-profit companies: Green Vale Homes and Pennine Housing 2000. As the parent company, they provide centralised services to both Green Vale Homes (based around Rossendale, East Lancashire) and Pennine Housing 2000 based around Calderdale, West Yorkshire.

£25,673 - £27,370 Plus Essential User Car Allowance
Location – either Rossendale or Halifax base with extensive travel between sites
Initial 18 month contract with a possibility of extension

Ensuring the Group has access to reliable and up-to-date asbestos information covering all Group housing stock, you’ll develop a rolling inspection programme. Your role will include undertaking surveys, safely sampling materials and providing detailed reports with recommendations and guiding on priority areas for action. You’ll also act as a source of advice and information for staff and customers and manage effective, efficient relationships with external suppliers and partners.

An experienced project manager with good analytical and report writing skills, you’ll bring an eye for detail and the collaborative approach that delivers on time and in budget. Ideally, you’ll also be appropriately qualified and have experience gained in a building or asbestos surveying role, where you’ve managed contractors in removing and disposing safely of asbestos. Just as important are good planning and time management skills and a flexible approach to working hours.
