Quality Health Safety & Environmental (QHSE) Advisor

Quality Health Safety & Environmental (QHSE) Advisor required for a well established manufacturing and distribution company located in Newcastle. You will be based in Newcastle and report into the Works Manager. You will be first point of contact for all company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) matters.

You will maintain and continue to develop the company's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems and develop risk assessments and QHSE monitoring systems. It will be your role to audit, review, amend and re-issue policy manuals, operating procedures and associated documentation whilst ensuring planning, development and control of audit activities. You will also design and deliver training programmes for personnel at all levels within the organisation and complete internal investigations following accidents, unplanned releases, plant failure, security breaches or other significant incidents or near misses.

You require experience within a large scale manufacturing environment, preferably from within the chemical industry. Nebosh General Certificate or equivalent is required as a minimum however the Diploma would be preferred. A Working knowledge and experience of an ISO 9001 certified Quality management system and experience with internal auditing. It would be highly beneficial if you had a working knowledge and experience of an ISO 14001 and/or 18001 management systems and experience of waste stream management.

Commutable from Newcastle, Washington, Durham, Sunderland and Blyth.
