Health and Safety Consultant

Working for a global consultancy, this diverse health and safety role based from Central London, will focus on delivering the day to day monitoring of all H&S compliance in order to ensure the provision of a safe, efficient and effective service delivery commensurate with contractual requirements.  Liaising with the Client, Customers and Service Providers in order to resolve issues and continuously improve health and safety and service delivery, you will be required to undertake regular building inspections in order to ensure that the Client organisation is operating in a safe working environment.
Other aspects of the role will include:
Undertaking of regular programmed and ad hoc inspections and audits in order to ensure Operational Contracts, Projects and Moves are being carried out in a manner that is conducive with health and safety best practice and service provision, contract and legislative compliance.
Coordinating with the central management team, carry out investigations and producing reports on accidents and incidents within the Commission.
Produce monthly Health and Safety activity reports as required by the HSSC Team Leader.
Compile ad hoc reports as required by the Commission Manager and / or HSSC Team Leader.

Role requirements:
We are looking to hear from candidates who have a proactive approach in ensuring compliance in all aspects of the FM service delivery within the Commission.  The successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate that they have proactive approach to updating personal knowledge of changes and additions to health and safety legislation.
A strong understanding of health and safety in a Facilities / Project Management environment is essential, along with the ability to think laterally and effectively.
All candidates applying should have the NEBOSH General  Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum and have a basic understanding of environmental management.
