Chartered Site H&S Advisor ? CMIOSH NEBOSH Construction

Our client a principal contractor working on a multi-million pound construction project in the Olympic village in Stratford is looking for a CMIOSH chartered health and safety professional with a NEBOSH qualification for a site based project worth £50 million plus. You must have experience of concrete construction and working at height specifically with tower cranes and be aware of the new tower crane regs due to come into effect in April. Strong experience of construction methodology is also required as you will be providing advice, guidance and training to teams of sub contractors so a helpful and advisory approach will be needed rather than a strict policing attitude. Experience of behavioural safety would be a massive bonus as the organisation are looking to champion behavioural safety and roll it out across the company. Must be able to read programmes and drawings. Non construction based candidates and non UK nationals need not apply. This is an immediate start on contract with a view to going permanent after 2 months.
