This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of Europe’s leading electrical retailers, Dixons Stores Group international. DSGi are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager who will be responsible for the provision of professional Health and Safety and Fire Safety management, advice and information to the Supply Chain function. This is a fantastic role working in the largest electrical distribution centre in Europe. The facility includes complex distribution, reverse logistics, a state of the art repair centre and up to 3,000 staff on site.
You will have a major impact upon the profile and attitude that the Supply Chain business unit adopt to Health and Safety and you must be able to influence the Supply Chain Management team with regard to their Health and Safety responsibilities and activities.
You will produce reports, constantly review and update the Health and Safety and Fire polices, risk assessments and safe systems of work and lead a small team of Health and Safety compliance officers.
You must hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Safety and Health and be a Member of an appropriate professional body (e.g. IOSH, CIEH, CILT), preferably supported by Chartered Safety Practitioner status. Be well versed with UK Health, Safety and Fire legislation, codes of practice and industry standards and able to demonstrate experience of successfully managing Safety Management Systems.
