Working for a leading house building organisation, this excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Health & safety Manager to ensure that we achieve health & safety compliance within statute and company requirements. This includes providing advice, monitoring, supporting and reporting upon standards of health & safety on a project.
The role Ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with all current Health and Safety legislation Ensure full compliance with our Group Safety policy Continually assess and improve Health and Safety standard within the Business Stream. Carry out Site and Office inspections and provide written reports Provide guidance on corrective actions required following inspections Deliver Business Stream and Group training courses Prepare accurate and realistic reports for Operating Team meetings To anticipate, proactively manage and resolve problems using imaginative and realistic solutions Ensure all existing and new Production staff has the necessary safety training in order to perform their roles Skills: You will have a proven track record in Health and Safety management gained within the residential construction industry, specifically in the social housing sector. You must be either CMIOSH qualified or hold a NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent). You will have a demonstrable knowledge of residential build safety issues and the relevant safety legislation. You will be a strong team player with good communication skills, who can motivate and influence others. You must be highly proactive and have an ability to work under pressure. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as is knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. You must also be hold a formal qualification that enables you to carry out health & safety training, preferably CITB approved.
