Hays Health and Safety and currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Officer for a 12 month contract working within the electricity supply industry. The role is office based liaising with all levels of the SHEQ team, senior management, KPI officer and suppliers.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that the organisation operates to the highest standards of Safety, Health, Environmental, Security and Quality through being accountable for the delivery of SHESQ requirements as part of the QA function. Take ownership for ensuring that acceptable standards can be achieved and continuous improvement can come about. Principal objectives - To be accountable for the development of a Manufacturing Assurance process - To implement the Manufacturing Assurance activity (either directly or through service providers) as determined by the SHESQ Manager. - Working with the Quality Assurance Team as part of the strategy to take ownership for ensuring that acceptable standards can be maintained and that continuous improvements can come about in relation to all aspects of the SHESQ. - To be accountable for the identification and delivery of Pan-Alliance SHESQ improvements, in particular relating to procedural or process requirements. - Development and implementation processes, procedures and quality documentation. - Maintenance of acceptable standards and ensuring that continuous improvements can come about in relation to all aspects of the SHESQ processes and outputs. The successful candidate will have: - Thorough knowledge of quality standards and processes, the construction industry and electrical installations. - Minimum 5 years construction industry or quality experience. Some relevant experience in the electricity supply industry. - Demonstrated successful capability in: Safety Management; Change Management; Commercial acumen - Effective communication skills including the ability to make persuasive presentations to small and large audiences - Experience of process and procedure writing/amending and managing a Document Management System - Strong negotiating and influencing skills - Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation; Experience leading audits and inspections - Track record of developing working relationships quickly and effectively An excellent opportunity to join a leading organisation within the electricity supply sector.
