Fire Safety Officer

Working for a major housing association, this fire safety officers role will be based in West London.  The main focus of the role will be to undertake the monitoring of and execution of the specialist technical function in relation to fire safety works throughout the organisation’s housing stock

Other duties will include:
To participate in the delivery of a high quality top quartile Repairs and Maintenance Service to tenants and leaseholders by providing a high volume, value for money technical repairs service.
 
To ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with services and meet key area technical operational performance indicators.
 
To deliver the service within set financial sign-off limits.
Coordination and management of the responsibilities flowing from the provisions of the Regulatory Reform Fire Order 2005
Carry out fire risk assessments and coordinate and manage contractors undertaking Fire Risk assessments and ensuring quality checks are undertaken
Liaison with Fire service in dealing with all Fire Safety issues and especially with deficiency notices
Coordination and management of contractors in relation to Fire Risk Assessments or deficiency notices and ensuring quality checks are undertaken
Coordination of all internal stakeholders with regards to delivering the recommendations of Fire risk Assessments
Provide technical advice, guidance and support on relevant statutory and regulatory requirements and standards in order to minimise fire risks and hazards
Organise and execute a high volume technical repairs service to ensure the best use of resources, whilst increasing

Skills required:
Working knowledge of working in a technical operational repairs team delivering a high volume repairs service.
Experience of implementing the outcomes from Fire Risk Assessments and compliance with the responsibilities resulting from the Fire Reform Order 2005
