HSEQ Manager

Hays Health and Safety is currently recruiting for an innovative and solutions driven design and build company in Yorkshire.
 
Job Requirements:
 
Reporting into the Divisional Director you will set a clear strategy for the Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality; this will include complete review of existing practices and the recommendation and implementation of new procedures as appropriate. You will liaise with the Group Health and Safety Manager relevant external bodies and have strong influencing and training skills; you will be Diploma qualified and hold Chartered Membership of IOSH.
 
You will lead the provision of H&S advice across all operations. As the expert in safety, you will be responsible for their safety management system, delivering compliance with legislation and best practice in terms of health, safety and the wellbeing of all employees.
 
You will be fully conversant with ISO9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO14001 and be fully conversant in maintaining integrated management systems (IMS). You will possess a good understanding of the principles of process development, along with proven experience in the development and implementation of processes and systems.
 
Duties will include:


- Co-ordinate and implement H&S management systems, including policies, communication, training and procedures.
- Undertake audits and inspections, lead and maintain accreditations.
- Provide HSEQ support to bids/tenders   
- Promoting a safe working culture, you will encourage continuous improvement and employee engagement in health and safety.

The successful candidate will:


- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
- CMIOSH or working towards
- Fully conversant with ISO 9001, 14001, 18001
- Ability to influence and lead others at all levels
- Clear written and verbal communicator with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
