Head of Safety & Environment

Hays Health and Safety are currently recruiting for one of the UKs largest passenger travel companies. The role is the Head of Health, Safety and Environment for the Yorkshire region.
 
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading a team who will:

- Continue to develop our culture of safety and environmental excellence by delivering safe, high quality cost effective train operations.
- Ensure best in class policies, processes and systems are adhered to.
- Ensure East Coast remains compliant in both internal and external requirements and audits.
- Deliver initiatives throughout the business to ensure the safety and environmental awareness of all our staff and customers.

You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, together with:

- A minimum of five years experience in a similar role within rail
- CMIOSH membership and a recognised environmental qualification
- The ability to consistently deliver to deadline on projects and KPIs
- Excellent oral and written communications at Board level
