The UK Astronomy Technology Centre is an establishment of the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), and is the national centre for the design and production of world leading astronomical telescopes, instruments and systems.

Estates/Health and Safety Manager
(IRC2015)
 
£33,780 - £37,534 depending on qualifications and experience
 
You will have responsibility for security, all health and safety matters on a site wide basis, and will also manage the staff employed in these functions. The Estates Manager’s role is a key management post within the UK ATC managing the delivery of the STFC Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Policy, and ensuring the care and maintenance of buildings, grounds and site services. You will be based at the
Royal Observatory of Edinburgh and will be a member of the support services team which includes HR, Finance and Estate Management.
 
Ideally you will have an appropriate professional qualification in Health and Safety (such as a NEBOSH Certificate). Alternatively, candidates with extensive relevant experience will be considered.
