A world leader in the design and manufacturer of bespoke products now requires a HSE Manager to join their team.

Duties

Develop, implement and manage HSE policies, arrangements and process to ensure the effective management of hazard identification, assessment of risk and implementation of controls, research and evaluate company compliance with statutory legislation. Ensure compliance with company procedures, updating as required in line with changes in legislation for company and clients.

Carry out inspections and audits across the business. Manage SHE training including inductions for new employees and contractors. Manage and report SHE information and accident statistics in line with company and legislative requirements. Conduct accident investigations and assign follow-up activities. Represent the company at customer meetings and conferences regarding HSE issues. Liaise with regulatory bodies, such as RIDDOR reporting to the Health & Safety Executive.

Promote a positive HSE culture to secure the effective implantation of the HSE policy. Plan for HSE continual improvement to achieve objectives and targets. Review business HSE performance and auditing of the HSE managements systems. Successful maintenance of the ISO 14001 standards through effective site environmental management plans and environmental risk mitigation. Carry out competence assessments of contractors.

You must come from a heavy engineering/manufacturing background as a HSE Manager with extensive multi-site experience (including international travel). You must also hold the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent along with an environmental management certificate (IEMA, CIEH Etc). A full UK driving license is also essential.
