The Role
An exciting part time opportunity to work for the luxury fashion retail brand Burberry, synonymous with quality, innovation and style.
 
Your role will be providing support and assistance to the Health & Safety Manager for European Retail, through the monitoring of Health & Safety standards throughout all Burberry retail stores, UK & Europe, together with the essential maintenance of office administration associated with such a role.
 
You will be liasing with people from all levels of the business you will need to be a strong communicator and possess excellent organisational skills.
 
This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic person seeking a career in a Health & Safety role in a very demanding business environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing support & advice to stores to help achieve all legal & company compliance
  • Monitoring Health and Safety standards in UK / European stores.
  • Compiling Health and Safety reports, such as quarterly accident statistics
  • Managing and updating all stores risk assessments, H & S plans
  • Carrying out basic local risk assessments / local audits as required
  • Coordinating H & S training requirements, managing & updating training records.
  • Updating all audit action plans, liasing with stores / area managers to help meet action deadlines
  • General Administration Duties
  • Type all correspondence i.e. letters, faxes, memos, invoices, statements and reports.
  • Open and distribute incoming mail and prepare post for despatch.
  • Maintain manual and computer based filing systems.
  • Photocopy and fax as required.
  • Answer calls, take messages and deal with any queries in a calm, professional and efficient manner.
  • Ensure efficient day-to-day running of the office.

  • Effective working to deadlines
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Previous experience in an administration role.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team player.
  • Strong I.T skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
